Cody is a transplant from Richmond, Virginia but plans to grow to love Rapid City. Cody graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications. Since high school, Dennis knew he wanted to pursue journalism. He saw the value in telling people’s stories and sharing them with the community, Cody knew that was what he wanted to do.
Cody recalls doing amateur coverage of protests in the year 2016 as the first time he tried his hand at storytelling, as well as he fell in love with it.
Growing up in central Virginia gave him a good grasp of DC politics but Cody felt that something was missing, with that in mind, he made his mind up to leave his hometown of Richmond, Virginia as well as lay roots in South Dakota to learn more about middle America.
